Waiting for a line to come into condition and all the pieces of the puzzle to fall into place can be really frustrating and rewarding at the same time. Last year we had to turn around with the entry of the couloir in sight. So far this season, there was too little snow or the avalanche danger was too high, but this week conditions were finally perfect.
It took us 3 years to finally ride it, a 13 hour round trip, multiple rappels and an infinite number of steps, but mission Jägerscharte was a success…
